Justin Bieber Asked If ‘What Do You Mean’ Is About Selena Gomez

Ellen DeGeneres asked Justin Bieber the question that has been on everyone’s mind: ‘Is ‘What Do You Mean?’ about Selena Gomez?’

“I wrote the song for women in general,” Justin told Ellen DeGeneres,when he stopped by her show on Sept. 15. Clearly the singer was avoiding the topic of his ex. Even after Ellen asked if the song was about one specific female who’s name rhymes with “Melena,” Justin elaborated on his answer. “I just never know what women are thinking ’cause they say one thing and they mean another thing and then they’re like ‘do this’ and ‘don’t do this’ and then I’m like, ‘what do you mean?'”
 ask Justin if he was single. After stalling for quite some time, Justin finally confessed: “I’m single, ladies.” After the women in the audience applauded the happy news, he also added that he’s “ready to mingle.”
