Espanyol 0-6 Real: Ronaldo scores five as he broke madrid's record

Cristiano Ronaldo scored five goals and became Real Madrid's all-time top scorer in La Liga as he inspired Los Blancos to a thumping 6-0 win at Espanyol.

Cristiano Ronaldo made history on Saturday by becoming Real Madrid's all-time leading goal scorer in La Liga.
Ronaldo scored five goals in Real's 6-0 victory over Espanyol, including a first-half hat trick. It was the second career five-goal game for the 30-year-old Portuguese forward. Both have come with Real Madrid, and Ronaldo is also the first player to achieve that for the Bernabeu club.

Cristiano Ronaldo broke his scoring drought in style.
The handful of goals gave Ronaldo a total of 230 goals in La Liga, surpassing the previous Real Madrid mark of 228 set by Raul. The former Los Blancos striker needed 550 matches to reach his total, while the Portuguese achieved the feat in just 204 league games.
