Vin Diesel told the crowd at Sunday's Teen Choice Awards that his Fast and Furious costar Paul Walker
was there "in spirit" and that Paul's teen daughter Meadow was in the
house as he accepted the "really special" award for choice movie:
action/adventure.
"We make these movies with our hearts. We really are a family. My kids refer to Luda as 'Uncle Luda,' " "We are a true, true, true family. You fans have been so incredible to
us and have encouraged us and made us reach higher each time."
"I can't stand here and be rewarded like this without talking about
somebody very important to us. One of the best lessons in our lives is
the fact that we had the opportunity call Pablo our brother. Paul Walker
is here in spirit with us."
"And since this is a Teen Choice Award, you beautiful teens, there is
one teen in the audience that is a part of the family that kept us
going," he said. "It's Paul Walker's family – his parents and his
brothers – that kept us encouraged while we were making Furious 7, but there is one very, very special teen here, and her name is Meadow Walker."
