"It's another win - we've had a decent pre-season so far. It's a little title for us, keeps our confidence high, so it's great for us," he told BT Sport.
"It's still pre-season - it's a little beginner [trophy], let's say it like that. It keeps our confidence high, everyone digged in, absolutely.
"We will try our best [in the title race] and when Alexis is back we'll have a great squad."
On Cech, he added: "He has so much experience, gives us a huge boost for the season."
